Deck Winch SDW for Towed HV Power Cable IP66

Especially designed for temporary or stationary setup on seismic acquisition vessels in order to provide hoisting operations and towing seismic sources during geophysical surveys, the SDW deck winches for high-voltage cable line of a sound source (either a sparker or a boomer) are equipped with a high-voltage slip ring and water-resistant patch panel for connecting a deck cable. Depending on the model, a drum’s rotation can be provided manually or by means of an electric drive via a worm gearbox and chain transmission with the possibility of a smooth variation in rotational speed. The winch electrical equipment is housed in a special case with IP66 environmental protection.

Deck Winch SDW for Towed HV Power Cable IP67

SDW deck winches for high-voltage cable line of a source, either sparker or boomer, are designed for temporary or stationary setup on seismic acquisition vessels in order to provide hoisting operations and towing seismic sources during marine geophysical surveys.

The winch is equipped with a high voltage slip ring and water-resistant patch panel for connecting a deck cable. A drum’s rotation can be provided manually or by means of an electric drive via a worm gearbox and chain transmission with the possibility of a smooth variation in rotational speed Depending on the model. The design of an electric drive allows one to statically stop the drum in any position. The winch electrical equipment is housed in a special case with IP-66 environmental protection.

Geodevice team is also ready for cooperation and developing customized equipment for your special needs and ideas.

Electrodynamic Source G-Boomer

The G-Boomer with MultiJack energy source is an easy-to-operate ultra-high resolution marine acquisition setup, which is typically used for detailed stratigraphic studies and geological mapping in relatively shallow depths. It has a stable broadband wavelet shape up to 5 kHz, providing vertical resolution up to 10 cm. It can be used in both fresh and saline or marine waters. A deeper penetration can be achieved by combining several boomer plates on a single frame. 2G and 4G boomers with 2 and 4 plates, respectively, are available for purchase for the deeper subsurface imaging with highest possible vertical resolution.

Marine Seismic Sparker

A marine seismic source, the sparker generates an acoustic signal by discharging an electrical pulse and is typically used for high-resolution (HR), ultra-high-resolution marine seismic surveys and VSP. Typically, sparkers are used in marine seismic acquisitions in seas and oceans, as saltwater is a good current conductor. For these purposes, Salt Water Sparkers (SWS) of various configurations are available, along with Fresh Water Sparkers (FWS), which are specifically designed to work in freshwaters due to special containers with embedded multi-tip groups. The Deep Water Sparkers (DWS) series is developed to ensure operations away from the surface and perfectly suited for deep-towed marine surveys and VSP.

MultiJack Energy Source

Designed to supply power to sparker and boomer sound sources that are typically used for high resolution (HR), ultra-high-resolution (UHR) marine seismic surveys, and VSP, the MultiJack is a unique energy source with the fastest charging rate available on the market. This results in the possibility to acquire marine seismic profiles with the highest possible trace density and lateral resolution.

PIKE 5.45 / 7.62 Seismic Gun

Pike-5.45 and Pike-7.62 are seismic sources designed for efficient generation of elastic waves in medium. They are used in engineering and geophysical surveys in logged areas, transition zones and water areas. A pulse from a source is generated by a shot of constructing and-mounting cartridges, which are available on the market. Energy-conversion efficiency of the source depends on the cartridge type used (2.7–4 kJ). The Pike series are made from a durable and light titanium alloy that allows them to be robust and ergonomic in design with high reliability, ruggedness and low weight.

Pike-D Seismic Gun

The Pike-D is an efficient and robust seismic source designed for acquisition in transit zones, shallow water, and waterlogged areas. It is a great solution for surveys in transit areas. The seismic pulse is generated by a shot of nail gun cartridges, producing a very high energy release (up to 0.8 kJ). Such a source provides a bandwidth typically higher than that of a sledgehammer and other engineering sources available on the market. It is easy-to-operate, made from a durable and lightweight titanium alloy that allows it to be robust, ergonomic, rugged and highly-reliable.

Towed HRStreamer for High Resolution and Ultra-high Resolution Marine Seismic

HRStreamer is a range of highly sensitive single and multichannel marine towed streamers, specifically designed for high resolution and ultra-high-resolution engineering marine seismic applications.

Geodevice have developed a unique type of single-channel streamers with adjustable group length by combining all groups together results in an equivalent single group length to increase the signal-to-noise ratio. Typically, the group length of single-channel marine streamers is fixed and designed for operations in the specific water depth range – the deeper water depth, the longer group is used to increase the signal level. Long groups can hardly be used for shallow-water acquisitions due to their directivity pattern, which results in filtering out high-frequency energy. They were able to overcome this issue by placing up to 4 groups with variable length, making the HRStreamer a universal solution for acquisitions in wide water depth ranges.

Multichannel HRStreamer is an easy to operate hydrophone array with up to 48 channels. Different group intervals are available such as standard spacings of 1 m, 2 m, 3.125 m, 6.25 m or a combination of mixed hydrophone spacing in one streamer. Mixed hydrophone spacing of 1 and 2 meters provides a good trade-off between streamer length and trace density in the upper part of the section.

All hydrophones are protected from acceleration to ensure the lowest noise level, resulting in high-quality seismic images.

HRStreamer is suited for all types of modern high-resolution acquisition techniques, including conventional surveys with optimal towing depth and slanted cable registration. Maximum allowable working pressure of 40 atm also allows using of HRStreamer for deep towed marine acquisition surveys. High accuracy depth control sensors, distributed along the receiver array provide exact measurements of streamer towing depth in real-time to meet your acquisition expectations.
